Herblore is an expensive but also useful skill. Before you start training herblore you will need to complete a quest, Druidic ritual. When you have finished the quest you will have Herblore level 3.

1.0 VialsThe basic of Herblore is vials. Vials are used to make al kind of potions. In order to use your vial it has to be filled with water. Now you can choose what potion you want to make and add the right ingredients. To fill a vial you will have to use your vial on water resources like fountains,sinks and wells.

2.0 HerbsThe first ingredient of a potion is a herb. Herbs are obtained as drops by killing monsters. When you’ll find a herb it will be unidentified. In order to identify this you will need to have a specific Herblore level. (The better the herb is the higher your level has to be.)
If you really want to clean identify herb and you don’t have the required Herblore level, you can travel to Nardah which is located in the Kharidian Desert. In Nardah is a woman called Zahur. She can clean your herbs by talking to her for 200gp. If you choose to do this, no exp will be gained.

3.0 Secondary ingredientsThese ingredients are needed to finish your potion. Some of these ingredients are preceded with the prefix 'ground'. This means must be ground up with a pestle and mortar. The pestle and mortar can be found at the Herblore shops at Taverly and Entrana.

List of common secondary ingredients:Ashes: Obtained by letting your fire die.
Chocolate dust: Obtained by grinding chocolate using your pestle and mortar. Chocolate can be obtained by food stores. Yanille, Port Sarim,..
Coconut milk: Obtained by cracking coconuts with a hammer which are obtained by Farming. When cracked use it on an empty vial.
Crushed bird’s nest: Obtained by grinding a bird’s nest.
Eye of newt: Obtained by buying them in Herblore shops in Taverly or Entrana.
Garlic: Obtained by collecting them from houses in Seers village and Ardougne
Dragon scale dust: Obtained by grinding blue dragon scales. Blue dragon scales are found in the Taverly members dungeon.
Unicorn horn dust: Obtained by grinding unicorn horns. Unicorns can be found by killing unicorns.
Jangerberries: Obtained by swinging to the orge island west of Yanille.
Limpwurt root: Obtained by by killing Hill giants.
Mort myre fungi: Obtained by using the Silver sickle near rotten logs. The Silver sickle can be obtained after doing Nature spirit.
Potato cactus: Obatined by looking in the Kalphite dungeon in the desert.
Red spider’s eggs: Obtained by going to Karamja dungeon, Edgeville dungeon
Snape grass: Obtained by going to the hobogobling west of the crafting guild.
Swamp tar: Obtained by going near the water altar in the Lumbridge swamps.
Toad’s legs: Obtained by going to Taverly, near the lake are some toads. Pick up a toad and remove it’s legs.
White berries: Obtained by to the red dragon isle around level 40 wilderness.
Wine of zamorak: Obtained by going to the Chaos temple, north-west of Goblin village.
4.0 PotionsOnce you have added the secondary ingredient you will become the potion you have wished for. Most potions will have 3 doses when finished. The three types of Weapon Poison (normal, +, and ++) come with only 1.

Level 50: Fishing potion (Avantoe + Snape grass) gives 112.5 exp
Level 52: Super energy potion (Avantoe + Mort myre fungi) gives 117.5 exp
Level 55: Super strength potion (Kwuarm + Limpwurt root) gives 125 exp
