PostSubject: Zelektro's herblore guide   Wed Feb 29, 2012 6:29 pm

This guide seems to be very boring, but it contains a lot of information.

Herblore is an expensive but also useful skill. Before you start training herblore you will need to complete a quest, Druidic ritual. When you have finished the quest you will have Herblore level 3.

[Table of contents]
1.0 Vials
2.0 Herbs
3.0 Secondary ingredients
4.0 Potions

1.0 Vials

The basic of Herblore is vials. Vials are used to make al kind of potions. In order to use your vial it has to be filled with water. Now you can choose what potion you want to make and add the right ingredients. To fill a vial you will have to use your vial on water resources like fountains, sinks and wells.

A player filling an empty vial.

2.0 Herbs

The first ingredient of a potion is a herb. Herbs are obtained as drops by killing monsters. When you’ll find a herb it will be unidentified. In order to identify this you will need to have a specific Herblore level. (The better the herb is the higher your level has to be.)
If you really want to clean identify herb and you don’t have the required Herblore level, you can travel to Nardah which is located in the Kharidian Desert. In Nardah is a woman called Zahur. She can clean your herbs by talking to her for 200gp. If you choose to do this, no exp will be gained.

A player cleaning a dirt herb.

List of herbs:

Guam (level to clean: 3)
Marrentill (level to clean: 5)
Tarromin (level to clean: 11)

Cadantine (level to clean: 65)
Lantadyme (level to clean: 67)
Dwarf weed (level to clean: 70)
Torstol (level to clean: 75)

3.0 Secondary ingredients

These ingredients are needed to finish your potion. Some of these ingredients are preceded with the prefix 'ground'. This means must be ground up with a pestle and mortar. The pestle and mortar can be found at the Herblore shops at Taverly and Entrana.

Looking good Smile! If I had something to improve, I would change the dark red numbers to a lighter colour such as Cyan or Yellow - it's a bit hard to read at the moment. But great overall.

May want to mention that all herbs will be Unidentified herbs so you won't know what they are unless you have a certain Herblore level. Grimy herbs weren't around back in the day. Other than that, nice guide Smile
